MEMBER CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETHICS

As a Member of CACDP, I agree to conduct myself in a manner that promotes peace, dignity, integrity, professionalism, respect, intercultural understanding, and responsible public engagement.

Core Ethical Commitments

I agree to:

  1. Uphold the mission, values, and reputation of CACDP.
  2. Promote peacebuilding, cultural diplomacy, tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect.
  3. Avoid any conduct that may damage the credibility, image, or integrity of CACDP.
  4. Respect all people regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, background, culture, disability, social status, or political opinion.
  5. Participate in CACDP activities with honesty, discipline, professionalism, and accountability.
  6. Avoid using CACDP’s name, logo, identity, documents, or platforms for unauthorised purposes.
  7. Avoid presenting myself as an employee, diplomat, government official, ambassador, or authorised spokesperson of CACDP unless formally appointed in writing.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information received during CACDP programmes, meetings, trainings, or institutional engagements.
  9. Avoid bribery, corruption, fraud, extortion, impersonation, misrepresentation, or abuse of office.
  10. Avoid harassment, intimidation, hate speech, discrimination, bullying, exploitation, or abusive behaviour.
  11. Respect intellectual property, training materials, institutional documents, and publications belonging to CACDP or its partners.
  12. Use social media responsibly when referencing CACDP, its activities, partners, members, or programmes.
  13. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
  14. Report any unethical conduct, misuse of CACDP identity, fraud, safeguarding concern, or misconduct to the appropriate authority.
  15. Accept that CACDP may suspend, withdraw, or terminate my membership if I violate this Code of Conduct.
